WUMC NURSERY SCHOOL REGISTRATION

We are currently accepting applications for enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year (September).  Morning classes are filled but afternoon classes for four year olds and pre-kindergarten (five year old) students are available.  In addition, the nursery school offers Plus Program, Creative Arts Plus Program, and Lunch Club as enrichment programs.  Family activities and community outreach are also part of our nursery school program.  For further information, please contact Wendy Vencuss or Stephanie Anderson at 529-2025.

Our Nursery School has a full schedule for 3 and 4 year olds including a Plus Program, Creative Arts Plus Program and the "Lunch Bunch."

Registration: Begins in January and is ongoing through the year

Special Requirements: 3 years old and must be toilet trained

Teacher/Pupil Ratio: We are licensed to have up to 20 children per classroom. There are two (2) certified
teachers per classroom.

Optional Enrichment Programs Offered

Plus Program - The Plus Program focuses on developing gross motor skills and fine motor skills through games, sports and craft activities while teaching cooperation, sportsmanship, respect and teamwork. Activities include circle time, exercise activities, snack, a variety of skill building sport and game activities, crafts and story time. Also included is our "Treasure Hunt Tuesday" schedule which includes outdoor play, parachute play, balloon activities, basketball and bingo. These classes meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. There are six 5-week sessions. Parents can sign their child up for as many or as few sessions as fit into your schedule. Lunch club is included with each Plus Program Class.

Creative Arts Plus Program - The Creative Arts Plus Program engages the children in the world of music, art, movement, drama, and literature. These classes meet once a week on either Wednesday morning or afternoon. There are six 5-week sessions. Each session revolves around a separate theme. Parents can sign their child up for as many or as few sessions as fit into your schedule. Lunch club is included with each Plus Program Class.

Lunch Club - Lunch Club is a program which meets Monday through Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12 noon. The children bring a lunch from home and enjoy time at school eating lunch, sharing a story and playing with friends. To participate in Lunch Club the parents sign their child any day before school.
